Warehouse/Receiving Specialist

Job Summary

Responsible for inventory control functions including returns, inventory release, order accuracy, and the coordinating of shipments. Pulls product from inventory to fill customer orders while maintaining established productivity and accuracy standards. Assists with various warehouse operations as needed to perform the essential functions below.

Essential Job Functions *

Process inventory release functions for all orders after manifesting through the Log Pro system
Record inbound shipments including truckloads, LTL’s, containers, and inbound UPS for record keeping purposes
Process all returns including packages, check-in, re-work, and physical returns of items to the appropriate shelving location
Perform Quality Control Audits and provide communication as needed
Maintain inventory control reports, completes cycle counts, and provides random audits of incoming trucks daily
Coordinate shipping for accounts, as directed, calls carriers, and assists with the loading of trucks
Responsible for all will call orders and assists with the facility’s annual physical inventory count
Pulls the correct product from inventory and packs it into appropriate boxes
Applies labels to boxes and prepares manifests
Transfers completed orders to the appropriate location and reviews completed orders to verify accuracy
Monitors inventory levels and documents replenishment requirements, stocks shelves with product as needed
Maintains a current knowledge of operating procedures and company products
Uses knowledge and experience to resolve complex operating problems; reports other problems to supervisor
Sorts packages and uses a hand scanner to determine shipment status
Checks boxes to ensure they are sealed, properly labeled and free from any damage; makes sure all quality standards are met
Transfers LTL and UPS packages to the appropriate staging locations
Assist in the other departments as assigned
Maintains a clean and organized work environment

Education & Experience

High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Six months’ related experience required
Good attention to detail
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work from verbal and written instructions
Able to learn and operate equipment if required
Able to work accurately with numbers and use a calculator
