Mid-Am Building Supply is seeking a motivated and experienced 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor to lead our evening warehouse operations. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supervising warehouse employees, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving operational excellence.

Compensation & Schedule

Compensation:
$75,000 annual salary, plus the opportunity to earn a quarterly safety bonus when established safety performance standards are achieved.

Work Schedule:
Full-Time | 2nd Shift
Monday through Friday, beginning at 2:30 PM and ending when daily shipping operations are complete and all scheduled outbound trucks have been loaded. Additional hours, including occasional weekends, may be required based on business demands, shipping schedules, customer commitments, and operational requirements.

What You'll Do

As the 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead and supervise second-shift warehouse employees to ensure a safe, productive, and efficient operation.
  • Coordinate daily warehouse activities, including loading, shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling.
  • Establish daily priorities and communicate expectations to team members.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and facility.
  • Promote and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct forklift training, certification, and recertification programs.
  • Coordinate and lead safety meetings and employee training initiatives.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Investigate inventory variances, operational issues, and safety incidents while implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of operational reports and required documentation.
  • Maintain critical transactions and processes within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Support employee onboarding, cross-training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with management and other departments to improve service, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Address employee concerns and performance issues through consistent problem-solving and follow-up.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, and effective inventory-control practices.
