Reports To: Supply Chain Manager
Location: El Reno, OK
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing warehousing, shipping, receiving, and handling of materials.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates all shipping, receiving, and warehousing activities; Supervise safe and timely transport of materials to and from departments, ensuring material needs are met throughout the organization.
- Ensures successful execution of processes necessary to maintain inventory accuracy (by way of requiring cycle counting & prompt, accurate transaction processing), optimal inventory turns, and efficient delivery of materials to production.
- Continually assesses inventory locations; Ensures inventory is safely stored. Proper storage equipment is be used, engineering standards are be followed, and unapproved alterations are not made to storage or material handling equipment.
- Oversight of incoming & outgoing freight; closely works with Supply Chain Manager to reduce costs through the creation/maintenance of carrier selection matrix based on carrier performance, service routes, and pricing analytics.
- Routinely proposes cost-saving, inventory-reducing, or efficiency solutions while ensuring Purchasing Agents are proactively notified of anomalies that would otherwise result in material shortages.
- Cultivates an environment of open communication and respect with team members. Addresses and responds to concerns and issues in a timely manner. Ensures team works as a cohesive unit to accomplish daily activities. Effectively communicates expectations and ensures accountability.
- Successfully provides ongoing cross-training opportunities for Shipping & Receiving Associates to allow for seamless reallocation of team members at will.
- Closely works with Quality Department team and/or follows documented Quality Department procedures, regarding damaged or otherwise non-conforming material.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Degree in business, management, logistics, or 5+ years of inventory control experience preferred.
- Proven supervisory management or applicable leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of material flow at Featherlite is desired.
- Ability (or willingness to learn) how to interpret prints & bills of material.
- Must have solid critical thinking & active listening skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
- Must be capable of showing empathy toward others; Able to compromise.
- Must be able to effectively manage time & proactively delegate tasks while working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Experience driving a forklift is a plus, though not required.

- Exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.
