Warehouse Supervisor

While displaying the company’s core values, under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and through overseeing and supporting their assigned personnel, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operation of the Shipping and Receiving department in our Distribution Center. Working safely and ensuring an environment of trust within the department is a must.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and hands on working with the Shipping and Receiving in our DC and ensuring shift coverage when shorthanded.
  • Develop and improve the team’s performance through leadership and promotion of the Company core values, rules and regulations.
  • Escalates issues and concerns related to safety, quality and production efficiency that cannot be resolved to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Maintains integrity of receiving and shipping logistics processes.
  • Developing and monitoring of a training plan / event for employees in accordance with the departments needs and training requirements and validation in the training module.
  • Own documents in the training module and have the ability to approve and revise.
  • Be part of the process of employee hiring with support of the Warehouse Manager.
  • Build, develop and maintain a good working environment in and outside of the department.
  • Be part of the process with employee discipline within the warehouse department.
  • Approve and coordinate Paid Time Off for Receiving and Shipping Techs in the DC and approve shift timecards.
  • Complete Performance Appraisals for employees within the warehouse department.
  • Leads, encourages and promotes ATOM’s in the work environment.
  • Assists with physical inventory process including cycle counting.
  • Ensure accident reports are completed as necessary to comply with OSHA requirements
  • Primary trainer for Shipping and Receiving Techs in DC.
  • Responsible for 5S including safety and continuous improvement. Maintaining and helping with workplace management to ensure that the floors are clean and free of oil, water, debris etc…
  • Ability to work overtime, as required.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork and administrative work as needed.
  • Reports concerns to Warehouse Manager and provides follow up.
  • Other related duties and/or projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years Warehouse Supervisory experience.
  • 2-4 years as a Material Handler, Receiving and/or Shipping, Logistics experience, with an automotive supplier, preferred.
