The Opportunity
To support our continued growth, VMG is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily operations at our facility in Berryville, VA.
This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supervising warehouse personnel, managing inventory, coordinating material movement, and maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient operation. The Warehouse Supervisor plays an essential role in ensuring our fabrication shop and field teams receive the materials they need to keep projects moving.
The ideal candidate is an organized, safety-focused leader with warehouse management experience in a construction, mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
What You'll Do
Warehouse Operations & Inventory
- Oversee daily receiving, shipping, inventory control, and material-staging activities
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, audits, and transaction records
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing requests to prevent material shortages
- Coordinate deliveries and pickups supporting fabrication and field operations
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse
- Ensure materials are properly received, labeled, stored, and distributed
- Maintain accurate records using inventory-management systems
Leadership & Coordination
- Lead, train, schedule, and develop warehouse employees
- Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
- Coordinate with project managers, purchasing, fabrication personnel, and field leadership
- Prioritize material requests based on project schedules and operational needs
- Communicate inventory concerns, delays, and material shortages promptly
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, workflows, and overall efficiency
Safety & Equipment
- Enforce company safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as needed
- Ensure warehouse equipment is used safely and maintained properly
- Address unsafe conditions and operational concerns promptly
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of warehouse supervision or management experience
- Experience in construction, mechanical contracting, manufacturing, or an industrial environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations
- Forklift operating experience
- Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory-management software
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical education or logistics experience is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an active warehouse environment
