Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor contributes to the ongoing logistics of plant operations by providing skilled to expert-level knowledge of receiving packaging materials, raw ingredients, equipment and parts while coordinating the shipment of finished goods with a “safety first” mindset. This position is responsible for guiding, assisting, training, mentoring and leading the warehouse team in the completion of daily warehouse duties in a safe, efficient and accurate manner. The supervisor’s responsibilities include troubleshooting any logistics or warehouse operations as necessary and schedule/support the warehouse team. All CPS Supervisors have the responsibility to work with the Quality Department to ensure food safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Utilize the daily shipping schedule to plan, coordinate, and lead warehouse team activities, ensuring the efficient and timely flow of both inbound and outbound trailers throughout the day

Schedule warehouse personnel effectively to meet daily inbound, outbound, and production support requirements

Partner with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure all trailers are loaded and unloaded on schedule, minimizing delays and maximizing dock utilization

Oversee the inspection and release of outbound finished goods, ensuring shipments meet all quality standards including correct pallet configurations, product integrity, trailer cleanliness, weight compliance, and order accuracy

Ensure all inbound raw materials and packaging supplies are received in acceptable condition, with any discrepancies or damages promptly documented and addressed

Collaborate with the Inventory Control Specialist to ensure accurate inventory

Work collaboratively with other department supervisors to ensure smooth execution of daily operations across the entire facility

Monitor and replenish departmental supplies as needed and within approved budget

Serve as the primary point of contact for all forklift-related concerns. Coordinate with the forklift maintenance provider to ensure the fleet remains in optimal operating condition

Foster employee growth through coaching and performance feedback

Manage accurate and timely approval of time records, paid time off requests, and attendance accountability

Promote and enforce adherence to all safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment at all times
