Warehouse Operations Lead / Senior Warehouse Supervisor

We are hiring on behalf of our client, a leading logistics organisation, for an experienced Warehouse Operations Lead / Senior Warehouse Supervisor to support and oversee daily warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Operations Manager in overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations.

  • Lead and supervise the warehouse team to achieve operational KPIs and service standards.

  • Coordinate and ensure timely completion of inbound and outbound activities.

  • Monitor warehouse productivity, operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.

  • Manage cycle counts, stock reconciliation, inventory discrepancies and related reporting.

  • Update and maintain inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including stock returns and close-out items.

  • Ensure warehouse processes comply with SOPs, customer requirements, safety standards and housekeeping requirements.

  • Supervise staff performance and ensure proper handling of warehouse equipment, materials and supplies.

  • Provide on-the-job training, guidance and support to warehouse team members.

  • Investigate operational or inventory irregularities and escalate issues to the Operations Manager where necessary.

  • Liaise with customers on operational requirements, service matters and issue resolution.

  • Maintain and update operational documentation and work processes according to customer/account requirements.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse productivity and operational efficiency.

  • Perform other operational duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in logistics or warehouse operations, including at least 3 years in a supervisory/team lead capacity.

  • O-Level, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline.

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

  • Experience in inventory control, cycle counting and stock reconciliation.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Good leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to communicate effectively with customers, transporters and internal teams.

  • Hands-on, organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
