Warehouse Supervisor - Night Shift

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor- Night who is responsible for supervising hourly employees in a manufacturing warehouse environment, ensuring efficient operations, compliance with regulations, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Location: Onsite - Bessemer, Alabama
What You’ll Do
Assisting Inventory Control & Logistics Manager with hiring and training of new employees.
Scheduling and overseeing warehouse staff.
Conduct physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory as it is delivered.
Prioritizing daily work for the team based on production needs.
Resolving inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
Replenishing stock and inventory as needed.
Ensuring that all stock is stored in the correct location in the warehouse.
Scheduling material being picked for internal and external processes.
Collaborating with the Inventory Control & Logistics Manager to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices.
Enforce operating instructions and safety policies.
Performing other related duties assigned.
What You’ll Need to Excel in This Role
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 5+ years of experience required; supervisory experience strongly preferred.
2+ years of Propane Forklift experience required.
Working knowledge of warehouse operations, policies, and procedures
Proven ability to lead, direct, and develop employees
Proficiency with data entry and inventory software and systems.
Experience with personnel decisions including hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actions
Competencies/Skills
Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, MS Office suite
Strong analytical skills with a high-level of attention to detail and business process
Strong skills in developing and presenting performance metrics reports
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with others
Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data
Ability to prepare and present comprehensive reports
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including preparing and presenting information
Ability to work independently and be self-directed as needed
WMS experience and knowledge preferred
ERP system knowledge (JD Edwards preferred)
