Warehouse Supervisor - Night Shift

Overview

Position Summary

Triple-S Steel is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead our 2nd Shift operations. This role is responsible for supervising warehouse personnel, maintaining a safe and organized facility, supporting shipping and receiving activities, and ensuring productivity and customer service expectations are met.

Location: 8807 Liberty Road Houston, TX 77028

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 PM to 2:30 AM, with overtime required based on business needs.

Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and support warehouse employees on the 2nd Shift.
  • Promote and enforce all safety policies and Safe Methods of Work.
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, and warehouse organization.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory activities.
  • Ensure materials are safely stored, handled, and loaded.
  • Conduct warehouse and equipment inspections.
  • Coordinate daily activities to meet operational and customer requirements.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse lead or supervisory experience required.
  • Experience in distribution, manufacturing, steel, or industrial environments preferred.
  • Forklift experience required; overhead crane experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer and inventory management skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Use hands/fingers to handle, or feel and talk or hear
  • Employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
