Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Reports to: Sr Materials Manager

General Position Summary:
Responsible for shipping of finished goods out of the facility and receiving raw materials and other deliveries. Maintains warehouse inventory according to established 5S standards. Facilitates the movement of product throughout the facility as required to maintain inventories and outbound orders.

Work Experience:

Experienced in SAP shipping requirements.
2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment leading or supervising shipping and/or receiving functions, to include scheduling freight carriers domestically and within Canada.
Inventory control and cycle counting experience preferred.
Sit down forklift experience is required. Train-The Trainer certification a plus.
Familiar with UPS and FedEx requirements

Skills and Duties:

Staging upcoming orders via forklift
Scanning bar codes of staged loads
Printing finished shipping docs and placing with correlating staged order.
Safely driving a forklift to stage material, load trucks, unload trucks and transfer material within the plant as needed.

Perform material move transactions in SAP system as needed.
Process required paperwork to ensure shipped goods are handled in inventory systems appropriately and timely.

  • Performs daily inventory as needed and supports year-end and ad-hoc physical inventory process
  • Communicates information to the appropriate people to help maintain inventories of required consumables.

Trains material handlers how to safely operate forklifts and clamp trucks.
Ensures material handlers understand and adhere to standard operating procedures and maintain an organized inventory of both raw materials and finished goods effectively using FIFO methodology.
Able to communicate information to all levels of management and personnel.
Ability to supervise up to 20 employees on various shifts.
Ability to obtain and maintain Train-The-Trainer forklift and clamp truck certification and to train other personnel.
Must be able and willing to change out propane cylinders on the forklift as required.
Must be able to follow and adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures.
Must have excellent and reliable attendance.
Other job-related duties as assigned

Physical Environmental Demands:

Frequent standing and walking; Frequent stooping and squatting; Frequent bending. Occasional bending and twisting; Occasional stair climbing; Pushing/Pulling 30 – 60 pounds of force; Occasional reaching; Repetitive use of eyes, ears, wrist, hands, and fingers; Frequent use of shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles. Must be physically able to safely operate powered Industrial Equipment such as forklifts.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis’ total compensation package. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $68-$82K for this Salary non-exempt role.
