Warehouse Supervisor

We are looking for a full-time, proactive Warehouse Supervisor. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, inbound and outbound shipments, and the timely delivery of materials to support production schedules. This role will lead and develop a warehouse team, ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and operational performance.

Compensation ranges from $85,000 to $98,000 depending on experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable PPE and Food Safety policies and procedures, wear steel tipped shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets, etc.
  • Oversee the strategic operations within the functional areas of receiving, storage / distribution of goods, and logistics.
  • Manages the receiving functionalities of the warehouse, engages with required managers, supervisors, material handlers and drivers. Ensures materials are received and distributed in a timely manner as required for jobs entering production.
  • Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends.
  • Leads communication with direct manager, production staff, and others involved in the receipt, storage, movements and distribution of materials.
  • Ensures direct reports have a development program and that they attend the proper training within ProAmpac or third-party providers. Makes recommendations based on ProAmpac Brooklyn needs.
  • Fosters a Continuous Improvement culture. Suggests and develop methods for area and process improvement regarding efficiencies that will serve internal and external customers. Follows and applies principles of LEAN to day-to-day activities to reduce costs. Leads and encourages direct reports to use the tools provided during training to educate and motivate team members to follow a continuous improvement culture.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with outside logistics providers, including efficient daily scheduling of all incoming deliveries. Tracks service levels of providers.
  • Work closely with Operations Manager and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation.
  • Leads team of direct reports and is responsible for employee selection, development, mentoring, and performance management. Responsible for overall talent management and employee engagement; cultivates an environment of safety and high performance; addresses employee relations issues.
  • Establishes and maintains Warehouse Receiving team activities to fully align to production schedules, taking into consideration estimates of labor hours required in each area to exceed customer expectations.
  • Skilled in sit-down and stand-up forklift, hi-lo’s.
  • Ability to drive a 24’ truck within the Brooklyn plant campus

What You Bring:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience in this field.

Technical Skills:

  • At least 5 years of work experience in warehouse management, should be combined with a demonstrated track-record of accomplishments as Supervisor, and with satisfying customers in manufacturing-driven, companies.
  • Experience in Flexible packaging and/or printing, converting equipment a plus.
