Position Summary

The Team Lead is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and support for the Picking team. This role leads by example, promotes a positive work environment, and helps ensure daily productivity, safety, quality, and picking goals are achieved. The Team Lead acts as a key support to the Operations Supervisor while assisting team members with their daily tasks and operational challenges.

Location: Halton Hills Distribution: 6 Cleve crt, Halton Hills, ON

Timing: 5:30 am to 1:30 am

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Support

• Lead by example through positive attitude, attendance, safety, and work performance.

• Support and coach team members to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.

• Assist with training new and existing employees.

• Promote teamwork, communication, and a respectful work environment.

• Help identify and resolve day-to-day operational issues.

• Provide guidance and support to Door Pickers or Trim Pickers throughout the shift.

Operational Execution

• Help ensure daily forecasts and targets are achieved.

• Monitor workflow and assist with prioritizing work throughout the day.

• Support the Supervisor in coordinating daily operations and assigning tasks.

• Ensure orders are picked accurately and completed on time.

• Assist with inventory accuracy and product organization.

Safety & Housekeeping

• Promote and enforce all safety policies and procedures.

• Conduct regular walk-throughs to identify safety concerns.

• Ensure beginning-of-shift and end-of-shift housekeeping is completed.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.

Communication & Accountability

• Communicate operational updates and priorities with team members.

• Escalate concerns or obstacles to the Supervisor when required.

• Help drive accountability and ensure team members remain focused and productive throughout the shift.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process improvements.
