Warehouse Technician
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Operate forklift, tugger, and other PIV equipment
- Daily oil deliveries to various PWT oil tank locations
- Daily coolant deliveries to various PWT coolant tank locations
- Facilitates the dispersal of direct and indirect materials entering or leaving warehouse where required.
- Maintain Coolant quality by testing and adding appropriate chemicals daily to ensure concentration, pH, and bacteria are within the acceptable limits
- Maintain recycled coolant process and maintainance
- Manage indirect oil and coolant inventory
- Collect pick tickets from various lineside drop-off locations.
- Work with Site Manager on all requests for replenishment of stock.
- Inventory all stock products weekly and report inventory to Site Manager.
- Actively participate in safety activities.
- Perform related tasks as required.
- Ability to take direction and work cohesively with Site Manager and Chemico Staff on site.
- Follow all safety guidelines with Chemico on-site staff and with drivers and others outside of Chemico who may enter the warehouse on a daily basis.
- Ability to segregate chemicals and work with packaged chemicals in a safe manner.
- Facilitate the receipt, inspection, and storage of empty totes
- Preparation of chemical deliveries, loading of chemicals by hand or forklift.
- Keeping Warehouse and work area clean and tidy.
- Stacking of goods in correct storage locations
- Stacking of empty pallets.
- Inspection and proper maintenance of forklift.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- General knowledge of modern warehouse and inventory practices
- General knowledge of the applicable standard grades and qualities of chemicals, materials, and supplies
- Detail oriented
- Ability to operate PIV equipment
- Self-starter
- Ability to work in a team setting/team player.
- Customer Service Focused
- Ability to work a flexible shift which may include weekends and evenings.
- Ability to be on call when necessary.
- Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with associates, suppliers, & TMMK personnel
- Ability to accurately document coolant tracking
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School graduate with some college courses preferred. Forklift Certified. Ability to comprehend and ensure all GHS and DOT requirements are met on outgoing shipments
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• CDL may be required.
• HAZMAT/DOT certified training.
• HAZWOPR training
