WAREHOUSE WORKER

Summary

Handles warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods, maintaining inventory records, and operating forklift equipment in a Singapore-based fire protection company.

Key Responsibilities

1. Warehouse Operations

• Receive, check, and record incoming goods, materials, and equipment.

• Properly store items according to warehouse layout and safety requirements.

• Pick, pack, and issue materials based on job orders or delivery requests.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse at all times.

2. Inventory Control

• Conduct regular stock checks and assist in monthly/annual inventory audits.

• Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and tracking of all items.

• Update stock records and inventory system accurately and promptly.

• Report any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor.

3. Forklift Operation

• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and lifting equipment safely and efficiently.

• Load and unload goods from trucks and containers.

• Ensure proper handling of heavy or bulky materials to prevent damage or injury.

• Perform basic daily checks and report forklift maintenance issues.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.

• Ensure proper use of PPE and maintain a safe working environment.

• Assist in implementing safety improvements and housekeeping initiatives.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Minimum Secondary education or equivalent.

• At least 1–3 years of warehouse experience preferred.


Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Forklift License (WSQ Operate Forklift certification).

• Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, WSQ) will be an advantage.


Skills

• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory systems.

• Able to handle physical work and lift heavy items when required.

• Basic computer skills (inventory entry, simple data updates).

• Good teamwork and communication skills.
