Warranty Quality Engineer

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Document warranty process flow for each customer.

  • Access customer warranty database if required.

  • Track product field performance and monitor early returns.

  • Handle all aspects of warranty returns (log in tracker, move parts between teams, ship to suppliers/customers)

  • Manage return part analysis, responsiveness and coordinate resources.

  • Generate pareto charts for analysis and corrective actions.

  • Document analysis reports for internal/external customers and lead reviews.

  • Track and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.

  • Document and share lessons learned to the organization.

  • Provide costs estimates for warranty on quotes for new business.

  • Validate warranty claims and dispute debits if required.

  • Coordinate improvement plans to meet targets.

  • Meet warranty budget for products assigned.

  • Lead Warranty TNFs reduction projects.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 5 years of experience in related roles

  • 5 years of experience in Automotive Industry

  • Advanced English

  • Background in quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, operation management, program management or systems engineering.

  • Electrical / Mechanical Engineering degree.

  • Good communication skills - oral and written.

  • Leadership and team skills.

  • Ability to travel as necessary to support customers.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Statistical analysis, reliability knowledge, product testing.

  • Structured problem solving skills ((8D, Green Belt, 5 Why's).

  • Utilize MS Office tools.

  • Experience with automotive electronics and software products.

  • Product experience (prefer electrical).
