Waste Water Treatment Plant - Shift Labor

Incumbents are responsible for providing assistance in the operations and maintenance of water/wastewater treatment facilities under direct supervision.

Wastewater Treatment Plant assignment (associated duties):
Responsibilities may include assisting in removal of toxic chemical and harmful organisms from the wastewater by recording reading from meters, gauges; regulating the flow of wastewater by controlling valves/gates/motors; assisting in making adjustments to the amounts of chemicals used in the wastewater treatment process; performing general cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks necessary to keep plant facilities, equipment, vehicles and tools in operable condition such as performing minor repairs, replacing parts, washing and cleaning equipment.
