Water/Wastewater Treatement Process Engineer, Early Career

Launch your career in water and wastewater engineering with our team as a Water/Wastewater Treatment Engineer, Early Career. In this role, you'll learn from experienced engineers while contributing to the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities and infrastructure. You'll gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle as part of a collaborative team that values fresh perspectives and innovative thinking from engineers at all career stages.

What You'll Do

  • Support senior engineers in the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater treatment facilities including treatment processes, mechanical systems, and associated infrastructure
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates for treatment systems
  • Coordinate with internal and external project teams, participating in site assessments, field verifications, and process evaluations
  • Provide construction phase services including shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, site visits, and field inspections
  • Support proposal preparation and lead day-to-day activities on assigned projects
  • Maintain quality control of plans, specifications, and deliverables

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern registration or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • 0 - 2 years in water/wastewater pumping systems, storage, treatment, and facility design
  • Software experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit is a plus
  • Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving
