Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, we'll count on you to\:
- Train utility staff on routine tasks related to the operation and/or maintenance of water and/or wastewater treatment facilities
- Assist with maintaining plant compliance with PADEP standards and requirements
- Ensure plant safety and sanitary requirements
- Provide guidance on how to operate and maintain water and/or wastewater treatment equipment
- Provide guidance to treatment and equipment adjustments below-standard variances are detected
- Detect and report atypical conditions, such as\: damaged, malfunctioning, and tampered meters, detecting and reporting leaks, high/low consumption, exposed wiring, and other safety hazards
- Assess, review, and update existing job plans for equipment management
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of a water and/or wastewater utility
- Experience managing maintenance of assets
- The ability to travel to and from the job site as needed
