Summary

NightOwl Consulting is hiring a remote Web Design Specialist to create the company's digital marketing assets — websites, Pardot emails, landing pages, and social media graphics — while collaborating with developers, copywriters, and stakeholders. Core tools: WordPress, Pardot, Unbounce, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, plus HTML/CSS/JavaScript for small projects.

The Web Design Specialist plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of activities directly related to the company’s marketing functions. The role is primarily responsible, under moderate to intermittent direction, for the conceptual development, direction, delivery, buy-in, and production of visual design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design digital materials (websites, email marketing, landing pages, social media) for Pardot, corporate website, microsites, and corporate social media accounts.
  • Apply conceptual thinking to create high-quality creative solutions across multiple platforms; effectively bringing together customers’ needs, Guild business goals, technical realities, and creativity.
  • Develop sound creative concepts that take into consideration customers’ needs (target demographic), market research data results, and technology.
  • Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually to the creative design manager.
  • Present creative concepts to stakeholders and get buy-ins when needed.
  • Translate creative concepts into designs.
  • Submit creative deliverables within the agreed-upon deadline and estimated production time.
  • Meet with internal customers to discuss requirements or project goals as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members, including designers, copywriters, and project managers.
  • Work closely with front-end developers and help with development when necessary (small projects).
  • Guide and advise fellow employees in the creative process to foster stronger working relationships and solutions.
  • Keep informed on the latest design and web trends.
  • Manage the creative design approval process as needed.
  • Ensure that customers’ experience with the brand is consistent with brand guidelines.
  • Create additional style guides and brand guidelines to supplement and support digital needs.
  • Follow consistent processes and standard resources to name, file, and archive work consistently.
  • Propose process improvements that would enable greater adoption of assets created and greater efficiency for limited resources (print and web).
  • Design print materials as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
