About the Role:
Job Title: Web Platform Engineer
Location: Oslo, Norway Hybrid
Mode of Work: Hybrid 2 or 3 Days Onsite per week

Description:
- Experience as a Software Engineer or Platform Engineer, building and operating production systems at scale.
- Strong expertise in modern web development with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Deep understanding of full-stack web architecture, including server-rendered applications, APIs, authentication and authorization, performance optimization, caching, debugging, profiling, and observability.
- Experience building and operating cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms, together with modern DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Experience building shared platforms, developer tooling, libraries, or self-service capabilities that enable other engineering teams.
- The ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and design solutions that remain maintainable as technologies and requirements evolve.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and evolve the shared capabilities that power our company’s web platform.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to shape platform direction and technical strategy.
- Take ownership of complex technical problems from design through implementation and production.
- Design scalable architectures spanning APIs, databases, caches, queues, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
- Build self-service platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to develop and deploy independently.
- Continuously improve developer experience through tooling, automation, libraries, and CI/CD.
- Evaluate technical trade-offs and make pragmatic decisions that balance short-term delivery with long-term maintainability.
- Collaborate across teams to build reusable platform capabilities that solve common engineering challenges.
- Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to a strong engineering culture.
