About ARTRAGE

ARTRAGE is well known for delivering entertainment unlike anything else on offer in WA, including FRINGE WORLD Festival, Rooftop Movies, and RE//Perth Winter Arts Festival.

OUR PURPOSE – to bring artists and audiences together to share in extraordinary experiences

OUR VISION – the arts are embraced as an integral cultural driver

OUR MISSION – to create spaces where creativity thrives and where artists and audiences connect

About the Role

Build the systems behind WA's biggest arts festival

Behind our events sits a suite of internally built web applications that our staff rely on every day, and we're looking for a developer who'll not only maintain them but take them to the next level.

What you'll do:

  • Maintain, improve, and extend our internal application suite (Django, React, PostgreSQL, Docker)

  • Build new features in collaboration with the teams who use them daily

  • Keep our scheduled data pipelines (Celery/Redis) and document generation running

  • Integrate third-party services including Deputy, Asana, Mailchimp and Red61 Ticketing

  • Deploy across cloud (Fly.io, Azure) and on-premises Linux environments

What you'll bring

  • 2–5 years of professional full-stack web development experience

  • Strong Python and Django back-end skills

  • Solid front-end fundamentals — HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React

  • Experience with relational databases and production-quality SQL

  • Comfort with Git workflows, Docker and containerised environments

  • Experience maintaining and extending existing codebases — not just greenfield work

A degree in Computer Science or similar is nice to have, but demonstrated experience and a strong portfolio count just as much.

This role will operate from the ARTRAGE HQ Office (616 Hay Street Mall, Perth). This is also an active onsite role and may be based across all relevant ARTRAGE event sites when required. Ensure availability for regular evening and weekend work during all activations or events.

Why ARTRAGE

  • Work on some of WA's most iconic and creative public events

  • Flexible work culture — one WFH day per week, flexible start/finish between 8am–6pm*

  • ARTRAGE social events and Pass Holder benefits to events and hospitality offerings*

  • Employee Assistance Program and Wellbeing Programs

*Subject to policies.

How to apply

Submit your application before 11:59pm, Sunday 17th August 2026* with:

  • A cover letter (max 2 pages) addressing the skills and experience required

  • A current resume with contact details for two professional referees
