Maintain and evolve a high-traffic WordPress site, handling PHP, JavaScript, SEO, and security while optimizing performance and user experience.

Salary: £35,000 - 42,000 per year

Requirements:
  • PHP, WordPress, JavaScript and jQuery experience
  • Experience with WordPress themes, templates and ACF
  • Good HTML and CSS skills
  • Experience implementing front-end changes within WordPress websites
  • Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development
  • Good understanding of website hosting, performance and security
  • Experience troubleshooting website and integration issues
  • Familiarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console
  • Basic understanding of technical SEO principles
  • Experience working with APIs, forms and third-party integrations
  • Comfortable using browser developer tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Experience with Wordfence or similar security tools
  • Experience with A/B testing and CRO
  • Familiarity with Core Web Vitals and PageSpeed optimisation
  • Knowledge of accessibility auditing and WCAG standards
