About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Frontend Web Developer to join their innovative Creative & Digital team, working in a hybrid capacity from Polokwane . You will be responsible for implementing the visual elements that users see and interact with on their websites and web applications. This role requires a strong understanding of modern frontend technologies and a passion for creating responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces. The hybrid model allows for flexibility, combining remote work with collaborative sessions in our Polokwane office.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate UI/UX design wireframes and mockups into high-quality, responsive, and interactive web pages.
- Develop and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimal performance across various devices and screen sizes.
- Collaborate closely with backend developers and designers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic and ensure seamless user experiences.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and usability.
- Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality and team knowledge.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Frontend Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of web projects.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (including modern ES6+ features).
- Experience with at least one major JavaScript framework/library (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
