Web Developer

Salary: RM 4,500 – RM 6,000 per month

Requirements

Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with the ability to build and customise websites beyond pre-built templates.

Experience developing responsive brand websites, marketing landing pages and content-driven websites with blogs.

Hands-on experience with a modern website framework such as Astro or Next.js, including static site generation or server-side rendering.

Experience integrating a CMS so non-technical staff can publish articles, manage categories, upload images and update website content independently.

Working knowledge of WordPress, including theme customisation, plugin troubleshooting and performance optimisation.

Understanding of technical SEO, including metadata, heading structure, canonical tags, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, structured data and 301 redirects.

Ability to diagnose and improve website performance, including Core Web Vitals, image optimisation, caching and JavaScript loading.

Familiarity with domain management, DNS, SSL, hosting, Cloudflare and website deployment.

Proficiency in Git, with an understanding of backups, version control and deployment rollback.

Ability to translate design references into accurate, mobile-friendly pages and troubleshoot cross-browser issues.

Able to independently manage website development from initial setup through testing, launch and ongoing maintenance.

A portfolio of live websites is required. Please describe your role and the technologies used for each project.

Additional Advantages

Experience with Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.

Experience with Google Tag Manager, GA4, Google Ads conversion tracking and Meta Pixel.

Familiarity with lead-generation forms, API integrations, webhooks and preserving UTM/GCLID parameters.

Experience migrating WordPress websites to a static or headless architecture while preserving URLs and SEO settings.

Experience building reusable page templates and managing multiple websites.
