Web developer Intern

Salary: RM 800 – RM 1,000 per month

About the role

Codech Solutions is seeking a talented Web Developer Intern to join our growing development team. This is a contract position based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, offering an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in web development whilst working on real-world projects. As a Web Developer Intern, you will work alongside experienced developers, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of web applications. This role is ideal for individuals looking to launch their career in web development and gain hands-on experience in a professional environment.

Key responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain responsive web applications using modern web technologies and frameworks with the assist of AI tools.

2. Collaborate with senior developers and designers to implement user interface designs and functionality

3. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices

4. Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality

5. Test web applications for functionality, performance, and compatibility across different browsers and devices

6. Assist in troubleshooting and debugging technical issues within web applications

7. Contribute to the documentation of development processes and technical specifications

8. Support the deployment of web applications to staging and production environments

What we're looking for

1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

2. Interested in AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, automation tools )

3. Able to use AI for debugging, coding, and boosting efficiency

4. Strong foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

5. Familiarity with at least one modern web framework or library such as React, Vue.js, or Angular

6. Understanding of responsive design principles and experience developing mobile-friendly websites

7. Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git

8. Basic understanding of web application architecture and RESTful APIs

9. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment

10. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team

11. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

12. Preferred experience: familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or PHP; experience with database systems; knowledge of web security best practices
