Web Developer (LATAM or the Caribbean)

BA Global Talent is looking for a Remote Web Developer based in LATAM or the Caribbean to join a dynamic Product Development team for a four-month contract engagement.

This is a fully remote, full-time contract opportunity for a Web Developer who will play a crucial role in designing and implementing a new software module that improves users' workflows and interactions with an accessibility-focused technology platform. You will help build scalable, reliable, secure, and high-quality software solutions while collaborating with an experienced Product Development team.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a new software module that supports and improves users' workflows and interactions with the platform.

• Design and develop scalable and reliable software components.

• Implement development best practices and coding standards to ensure software is scalable, maintainable, and secure.

• Maintain the quality, responsiveness, reliability, and security of applications.

• Develop and support solutions using React, Redux (RTK), TypeScript, Material UI, ASP.NET, and C#.

• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).

• Contribute to cloud-based solutions using technologies such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.

• Test, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.

• Apply secure software-development practices throughout the development lifecycle.

• Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation.

• Collaborate effectively with technical and cross-functional team members.

• Provide technical guidance and support to team members when needed.

• Stay current with software-development trends, technologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Must be currently based in Latin America (LATAM) or the Caribbean.

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.

• Solid technical background with hands-on experience in software systems design and development.

• Strong hands-on experience with React, Redux (RTK), and TypeScript.

• Experience using JavaScript libraries and UI frameworks such as Material UI.

• Hands-on experience with ASP.NET and C#.

• Experience with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.

• Proficiency with relational database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).

• Strong understanding of scalable, maintainable, and secure software-development practices.

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Very good written and verbal English communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong time-management skills with the ability to deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines.

• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

• Hands-on, proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership and get things done.

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.

• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Nice to Have:

• Experience developing software or digital products related to accessibility, assistive technology, or inclusive user experiences.

• Familiarity with digital accessibility standards and best practices.
