About the role

Real Estate Digital HQ is seeking a talented Web Developer to join our growing team, although we are based in Melbourne, VIC 3000, this role can work from home. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative digital solutions within the real estate sector. As a Web Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining web applications and platforms that drive our business forward. This position offers the flexibility to work in our Melbourne office, with options for hybrid or remote working arrangements depending on your role requirements and team needs.

What you'll be doing

• Design, develop, and deploy responsive web applications using modern frameworks and programming languages

• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into functional, high-quality code

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards

• Troubleshoot, test, and debug web applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience

• Implement and manage databases, APIs, and backend services to support front-end functionality

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes

• Optimise web applications for speed, scalability, and security

• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance our development capabilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical challenges

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Web Developer or similar role, with a portfolio demonstrating your work

• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, PHP, or Java

• Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles

• Experience with modern web frameworks and libraries such as React, Vue.js, Angular, or similar

• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git

• Familiarity with databases and SQL

• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

• Preferred experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure

• Preferred experience in the real estate or property technology sector
