About the role

We are looking for a creative and proactive web developer who can help us build, improve, and maintain high-quality digital experiences across our websites, platforms, and internal tools. This role is not only about writing code. This job is full-time and based in our headquarters in Taupo, New Zealand. We are looking for someone who can understand a problem, think ahead, propose smart solutions, and turn ideas into clean, functional, and visually polished results. The person will work on projects involving WordPress, WooCommerce, Laravel, custom front-end integration, database-driven features, and internal web tools.

Key responsibilities

  • Building and improving WordPress websites

  • Working with WooCommerce stores and custom e-commerce features

  • Creating and maintaining Laravel-based tools or dashboards

  • Improving UI/UX across existing platforms

  • Integrating front-end designs into clean, responsive web pages

  • Connecting websites with databases, APIs, forms, and internal systems

  • Improving performance, structure, usability, and user flows

  • Finding better technical solutions instead of just applying basic fixes

  • Helping turn rough ideas into clear, usable digital products

  • Experience with WordPress, WooCommerce, Laravel, PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Tailwind or modern CSS frameworks, MySQL or other databases, API integrations, responsive design, website performance optimization, Git or basic version control, or basic server, hosting, or deployment knowledge
