The main responsibilities of a MANAGER, WEB DEVELOPMENT include:
- Lead and develop a team of web designers, developers, full-stack engineers, QA specialists, to deliver custom web pages, locators and local pages for enterprise customers, on time, on scope, and to a high standard of quality.
- Champion the adoption of AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, or equivalent) across the team; identify opportunities to use AI to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and reduce rework.
- Own the creative and technical direction of front-end and some back-end web architecture across customer projects.
- Oversee development of responsive, intuitive front-end layouts and user interfaces using modern HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, any combination , aligned to customer requirements and use cases.
- Manage QA processes to validate all features and code across common browsers and devices; ensure issues are identified and resolved within project timelines.
- Drive cross-functional coordination with TAM, Engineering, and Customer Success teams as well as directly with customers , to keep deliverables on track and requirements clearly understood.
- Manage resource planning, capacity, and project prioritization across a high-volume portfolio (25+ concurrent projects); ensure the team consistently meets time-to-value metrics and KPIs.
- Stay current on advancements in AI tooling, front-end development, cross-browser standards, and web best practices; bring relevant innovations back to the team.
- Take ownership of new and evolving business needs as it scales.
- 5+ years of verifiable experience successfully managing web development teams across multiple concurrent projects and customer requirements.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding and productivity tools, with a clear point of view on how to embed them into a development team's workflow to improve output and quality.
- Exceptional knowledge of responsive web design, web architecture, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Node.js, PHP, or Python
- Proven track record managing 25+ web development projects simultaneously with strong prioritization, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
- Working knowledge of browser debugging tools and the ability to coach team members on best practices.
- Strong understanding of SEO and ADA-compliant web development, with the ability to provide prescriptive guidance to the team.
- Experience leading creative web design teams effectively.
- Experience with social media platforms and corresponding APIs is a plus.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Coachable, open to feedback, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
