About the role
We're looking for an experienced Web Tech Lead to join our client's engineering team and lead the technical direction of a modern web platform. In this role, you'll define the architectural direction, mentor developers, and ensure the platform remains technically leading-edge. You'll play a key role in shaping how the platform performs, scales, and evolves while leveraging AI-powered development tools to improve engineering efficiency.
Your responsibilities
Drive AI-powered workflows by utilizing AI-assisted development tools and autonomous workflows to accelerate iteration, reduce manual effort, and improve team productivity.
Own the platform architecture, including database design, deployment pipelines, performance optimization, and incident response.
Lead code reviews, improve code quality, reduce technical debt, and establish engineering best practices.
Create and maintain technical documentation, support developer onboarding, facilitate knowledge transfer, and promote knowledge sharing across the team.
Define testing strategies, enhance automated testing infrastructure, and support bug triage.
Mentor developers and help raise engineering standards across the team.
Requirements
7+ years of professional web development experience.
Deep expertise in Nest.js (Node.js), React, and Next.js.
Proven track record of owning architectural decisions and system design.
Experience with deployment, infrastructure, and operational responsibilities.
Experience mentoring junior developers and improving code quality standards.
Strong record of using AI-assisted development tools to improve development speed and quality.
Fluent English.
Recruitment Process

2. Cultural Fit Interview: A meeting focused on collaboration style, communication approach, and how you operate in an international environment.
3. Technical Interview: A deeper technical discussion covering data architecture, analytics engineering, and HR data topics, including a hands-on deep dive relevant to day-to-day responsibilities.
4. Final Interview (45 min): A concluding conversation focused on behavioural aspects, leadership and ownership mindset, and managerial alignment.
