• WebSphere MQ Administration
• WebSphere MQ Administration experience (V6.2 & above) on distributed platforms (one or more flavors of UNIX and Windows)
• Should possess good working knowledge and understanding of Unix and Windows Operating Systems
• Working knowledge with in product & Fixpack installations and version upgrades of WebSphere MQ
• Able to administer the product using the command line
• Proficient in problem determination, troubleshooting, backup & recovery
• Working knowledge in using MQSC commands
• Working knowledge in using Distributed Queue Management
• Working knowledge in MQ channel configuration using different transmission protocols
• Working knowledge with MQ Clustering
• Able to manage, configure and monitor MQ Listeners, Command Servers, Channel initiators, Trigger Monitors, MQ Log files & Dead Letter Queues
• Familiar with MQ Client applications & MQ client configuration
• Able to setup security for WebSphere MQ queues & other objects for data access and for administration using role-based security
• Working knowledge in using MQ monitoring tools like Tivoli Omegamon
• Working knowledge of MQ Tracing 2) WebSphere Message Broker experience (V6 & above) on distributed platforms
• Possess good communication and written skills
• Knowledge of WMB Administration
• Knowledge of AIX 5.3 and higher
• 1+ years application development with combined experience in MQI / JMS and Java/C programming languages.
• Have been exposed to such MQ monitoring tools as; Omegamon, Qpasa, BMC Patrol or Candle desired
• Working knowledge of logical partition management (LPAR’s) and virtualization (VIO) on AIX systems
• Ability to provide 7x24 rotating on-call support
• Ability to work outside normal 8 to 5 office hours including weekends as necessary
