Position Overview

As a Weekend CDL Charter Driver, you will safely transport passengers on designated routes and charter services during weekend evening operations. You will serve as a trusted representative of zTrip by delivering a dependable, comfortable, and professional transportation experience while maintaining the highest safety standards.

This position offers structured routes, predictable hours, and the opportunity to work independently while supporting the transportation needs of the community.

Key Responsibilities of a Weekend CDL Charter Driver:

Passenger Transportation

• Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies
• Transport passengers along assigned routes and service schedules
• Ensure timely arrivals and departures
• Assist passengers when needed and provide an outstanding customer experience
• Maintain a welcoming, courteous, and professional atmosphere onboard

Route & Service Management

• Follow established routes and trip schedules
• Communicate service updates, delays, or operational concerns to dispatch personnel
• Monitor traffic and road conditions to maintain efficient service
• Ensure reliable transportation throughout each shift
• Adhere to all transportation regulations and operational procedures

Vehicle Care & Inspections

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Report maintenance concerns, mechanical issues, or safety hazards promptly
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness for service
• Complete required inspection paperwork and operational records
• Verify all safety equipment is functioning properly before operation

Customer Experience

• Provide friendly and professional service to passengers
• Answer questions and assist riders as needed
• Handle concerns calmly and professionally
• Represent zTrip with integrity and a commitment to excellence
• Help create a positive and comfortable travel experience

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company safety standards and procedures
• Maintain CDL and passenger transportation compliance requirements
• Practice defensive driving techniques at all times
• Immediately report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns
• Prioritize the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and fellow motorists

Qualifications for a Weekend CDL Charter Driver:

Required

• Valid CDL Class B License or higher
• Passenger (P) Endorsement
• Strong safety record and clean driving history
• Ability to work overnight weekend shifts
• Excellent attendance and reliability
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

Preferred

• Experience operating charter buses, shuttle vehicles, transit buses, or passenger transportation vehicles
• Previous transportation, hospitality, tourism, or customer service experience
• Knowledge of passenger safety procedures and vehicle inspections
