Lindfield Gardens Retirement Living is a welcoming retirement community nestled amongst serene bushland in East Lindfield, overlooking the sparkling upper reaches of Middle Harbour. Just 16km from Sydney's CBD, the community offers residents an exceptional lifestyle with easy access to local amenities, natural surrounds, and a variety of social, wellness, and recreational activities. Recently revitalised facilities, including a modern dining room, lounge, library, hair salon, and indoor swimming pool, support a vibrant and low-maintenance way of life. As a Chef, you’ll deliver a high-quality dining experience that enhances the everyday lives of our residents. Bringing an à la carte-inspired approach, you’ll prepare fresh, well-presented meals that balance flavour, nutrition, and consistency. This is a great opportunity to showcase your skills, build meaningful connections, and enjoy more balance than traditional hospitality settings.

This is a permanent part-time role working Saturday and Sunday (9:30am-5:30pm)

Your Impact

Prepare and present fresh, high-quality restaurant meals with an à la carte influence or prepare and present fresh, high-quality meals in line with menu plans, across lunch and dinner service times
Support day-to-day kitchen operations, including ordering, stock rotation, and food preparation
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and compliance
Contribute ideas to upcoming functions, menu changes and continuously improve the dining experience
Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Build meaningful connections with residents, fostering a sense of community and belonging

What you'll bring

Experience as a Chef in a restaurant, hotel, healthcare or quality hospitality environment
Confidence working independently, while also being a strong team player
Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in connecting with residents
Enthusiasm for working in retirement living and making a positive impact
Certificate in Commercial Cookery (required) and Food Safety certification (desirable)
Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)

What we offer

Saturday Rate: $52.53/hr + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
Sunday Rate: $61.29/hr + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
