Weekend Support Engineer (Azure & Microsoft 365, Tier 3)
Posted
REW Technology is building a dedicated team of eight weekend support engineers for a strategic client's Microsoft environment. The team works in two alternating squads of four, covering every weekend of the year from Friday 4:00 PM CST through Sunday 8:00 PM CST — a 52-hour window, fully staffed with no gaps — via four sequential 13-hour 45-minute shifts with 45-minute handoff overlaps.
Each engineer works one 13h45m shift every second weekend — two shifts per 4-week cycle — on a published, fixed rotation with a squad of four. This is a role built for deep, uninterrupted focus: named-client work, documented handoffs, and long clear weekends in between.

Each engineer works one 13h45m shift every second weekend — two shifts per 4-week cycle — on a published, fixed rotation with a squad of four. This is a role built for deep, uninterrupted focus: named-client work, documented handoffs, and long clear weekends in between.
- 3+ years supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure at Tier 3 level or above
- Strong troubleshooting across Entra ID (identity), Exchange Online (mail flow), Teams, SharePoint Online, and Intune
- Hands-on experience with an ITSM platform (ServiceNow strongly preferred — all work is performed in the client's ServiceNow)
- Excellent written and spoken English for documentation and handoffs
- Own workstation, stable high-speed internet, and a quiet private workspace
- Work authorization in one of our approved onboarding locations: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada (Ontario & Quebec), Denmark, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Sweden, UAE, United Kingdom, United States
- Reliability: the rotation runs on attendance. Your weekends are few but they are fixed commitments; a no-show directly impacts client SLAs.
- Provide Tier 3–4 technical support for Azure and Microsoft 365 during your assigned shifts
- Respond to all incidents and service requests within provided SLAs
- Diagnose, resolve, and document issues end to end in ServiceNow, including ticket ID, severity, current state, next action, and Microsoft case references where applicable
- Complete a verbal and written handover during the 45-minute overlap: open incidents, current status, pending actions
- Perform access provisioning/deprovisioning for your client tooling in line with the client's security requirements
- Contribute handover-quality improvements and knowledge base updates so the off-squad engineers stay effective on your weekends
- Microsoft certifications (AZ-104, MS-102, or similar)
- Prior weekend/overnight shift experience in managed services or NOC
- Experience with Microsoft premier/case escalation processes
- PowerShell and Graph API troubleshooting skills
- Exposure to ServiceNow administration or reporting
- Shift schedule (per weekend, times in CST):
| Shift | Window (CST) |
| Shift 1 | Fri 4:00 PM → Sat 5:45 AM |
| Shift 2 | Sat 5:00 AM → Sat 6:45 PM |
| Shift 3 | Sat 6:00 PM → Sun 7:45 AM |
| Shift 4 | Sun 7:00 AM → Sun 8:45 PM |
- Each shift is 13 hours 45 minutes; the 45-minute handoff overlap at each transition is paid and included in shift duration
- Rotation: you work 2 shifts per 4-week cycle (16 slots ÷ 8 engineers); 55 scheduled hours per month, ~660 scheduled hours per year
- Shift position rotates one position per cycle so every engineer experiences all four shift windows over time
- Shift times are anchored to CST year-round (DST does not move your local start times within a cycle)
- Coverage every weekend, including public-holiday weekends; no on-call outside your assigned shifts
- Remote work
- Intro call
- Technical Interview
- Manager Interview
- Client Interview
- Pre-offer stage + Reference Check (if requested)
