Operates and maintains a tube mill to produce steel tubing, inspects product quality, and assists in setup and minor maintenance under supervision.

Job Summary:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Correctly set the mill up using setup charts and mill reference manual
- Gives direction to crew members to assist in the setup and minor maintenance.
- Gives direction to crew members during production
- Adjust and operates tube mill to produce a quality product with accepted quantities with a minimum amount of waste and downtime
- Constantly inspects and monitors product including measurements of length, gauge, od size, id cut, weld integrity/weld test, and end condition.
- Fills out all applicable paperwork through the operation including entering data into computer
- Runs eddy current tester; documents and verifies setup
- Responsible for safety of self and crew members
- Cleans all areas of the plant when not directed by supervisor to do anything else.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as directed
