Description

About the role

We are looking for a First-Class Welder - Boilermaker with the ability to take on the complete manufacturing process of metal parts and structures.

Your main mission will be to interpret technical drawings to cut, deform, assemble, and weld metal assemblies using different joining processes (TIG, MIG, and MAG). It is not just about laying beads, but about controlling the prior preparation of the material on machinery (shearing machine, press brake, rolling machine) and delivering a finished product with high aesthetic and dimensional standards.

What you'll do

Integrated into the manufacturing workshop, your daily responsibilities will be:

Multi-specialty technical welding: Execution of high-quality welds using TIG, MIG, and MAG processes on different materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum) and thicknesses.

Handling of deformation and cutting machinery: Preparation, calibration, and autonomous operation of:

Shearing machine: Precise cutting of sheets according to breakdown measurements.

Press brake: Adjustment of tooling and folding of sheet metal at the required angles and tolerances.

Rolling machine / Curving machine: Cylindrical or conical bending and shaping of sheets and hoops.

Technical interpretation: Exhaustive reading of manufacturing drawings, tolerances, welding symbology, and process sheets.

Assembly and fitting: Tack welding, squaring, and preparation of parts before the final weld, ensuring there are no heat deformations.

Finishing and verification: Grinding, polishing, cleaning of welds, and dimensional control of the finished part with measuring instruments (calipers, protractors, welding gauges).

Requirements

We are looking for a qualified, autonomous profile accustomed to the rhythms of a metallurgical workshop:

Experience: Minimum of 3 to 4 years as a welder - boilermaker or locksmith in an industrial workshop.

Essential technical knowledge

Proven mastery of TIG, MIG, and MAG welding.

Practical and autonomous experience handling shearing machines, press brakes, and rolling machines.

Solid ability for the reading and interpretation of technical drawings.

Mobility: Own vehicle is essential to arrive at the workshop at the start of the 06:00h shift.

Availability: Commitment to carry out the indicated working day and willingness to work some occasional Saturdays (07:00h to 13:00h) during peak delivery periods.

Attitude: Rigor regarding tolerances, orderliness at the workstation, and high sensitivity towards occupational risk prevention in boilermaking environments.

Benefits and conditions

Very competitive remuneration: 15.84 — gross per hour worked (a prominent salary level within the metalworking collective agreement of the province).

Stability and project: Structural job position with long-term continuity in a company with a consolidated order book.

Short Friday shift: Working day from 06:00h to 14:45h on Fridays to start the weekend earlier.

Equipped workshop: An environment with suitable machinery and varied projects that avoid the monotony of assembly lines.
