Welder

Job Summary:

The Welder will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and combining materials to create structures or components according to technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding techniques, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to determine specifications.
  
• Perform MIG, TIG or stick welding processes to join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials.
  
• Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools.
  
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
  
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure project specifications are met.
  
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  
• Troubleshoot issues and make adjustments as necessary to produce high-quality welds.
  

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in welding preferred.
  
• Proven experience as a welder, with proficiency in MIG, TIG or stick welding.
  
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  
• Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various positions.
