Welder / Fabricator I

Summary

Springs Fabrication is seeking a Welder/Fabricator I or II to join our Pueblo West team. This position is responsible for welding and fabricating a variety of engineered metal products, including structural steel and other components. Successful candidates will be able to read blueprints and weld symbols, perform quality welds to company standards, and safely operate fabrication and welding equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate structural components in accordance with drawings, specifications, work orders, and welding procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, dimensions, and weld symbols.
• Perform fit-up and fabrication of assemblies while maintaining tolerances and accounting for shrinkage and distortion.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely, including FCAW, GMAW, cutting torches, plasma equipment, grinders, and related shop tools.
• Inspect work for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all company safety and quality requirements.
• Work effectively with supervisors, project leaders, and team members to meet production schedules.
• Continuously develop welding and fabrication skills.
