Welder - Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced MIG Welder / Metal Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MIG welding, TIG welding, and spray welding, with strong fabrication skills and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. This position is responsible for welding, assembling, fabricating, and repairing metal components while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Spray welding on various metal components and assemblies.
• Fabricate, assemble, join, and repair metal parts and structures according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Plan welding layouts and determine appropriate welding procedures.
• Measure, cut, fit, and prepare metal materials for fabrication and welding.
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated components to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Identify defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and a clean, organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and welding standards.
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, and spray welding.
• Ten years of welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Strong metal fabrication and assembly skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to accurately measure, fit, cut, and assemble metal components. - Ability to read a tape measure correctly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and work safely.
• Welding certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move materials and equipment as required.
• Ability to work around welding heat, sparks, fumes, and industrial equipment while using appropriate personal protective equipment.

Compensation

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with higher compensation available depending on experience, skill level, and qualifications.
