Nelson Pipeline is seeking a motivated and skilled Welder to join our team. In this role, you will perform repairs, rebuilds, and a variety of welding tasks on our fleet of heavy equipment, as well as support welding needs for client equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to complete fabrication projects from start to finish
- Repairing and fabricating metal components used in excavation equipment such as loaders, excavators, and compaction equipment as well as support welding needs for client equipment
- Must adhere to safety protocols and standards while working on equipment. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following safety procedures, and ensuring the safety of others in the vicinity.
- Work closely with other members of the team, including equipment operators, mechanics, and supervisors.
- Effective communication and collaboration are crucial to ensure that welding tasks are performed efficiently and safely.
- Keeping accurate records of welding repairs and maintenance activities is important for tracking equipment performance and compliance with safety regulations. This documentation may include maintenance logs, inspection reports, and repair records.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Familiar with MIG, TIG, and stick welding operations and procedures
- Experience and ability with material handling via forklift and crane hoist
- Experience with hand tools and shop tools for cutting, shearing, and drilling
- Attention to detail and ability to perform fabrication within required tolerances
- Self-motivated, responsible, and dependable
Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb, kneel, squat, crawl, lift, reach and more. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
