Welder

Relyant Global is seeking an experienced and dependable Welder to support ongoing construction, infrastructure, and maintenance operations in Guam. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various welding processes, metal fabrication, structural steel installation, and equipment repair.

This position requires a safety-conscious professional who can work independently or as part of a team while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and workmanship in a demanding construction environment.

***This is a full-time, temporary position, located in Guam.***

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding, cutting, fitting, and fabrication activities on structural steel, piping, equipment, and miscellaneous metal components.

• Utilize welding processes including SMAW (Stick), GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and FCAW (Flux-Cored), as required.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication specifications.

• Prepare materials and surfaces for welding, including cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting.

• Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and project specifications.

• Operate welding machines, cutting torches, grinders, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.

• Perform repairs and modifications to existing metal structures and equipment.

• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in safe operating condition.

• Follow OSHA safety requirements, company policies, and project-specific safety procedures.

• Coordinate with supervisors, construction personnel, and quality control representatives to complete assigned tasks.

• Support additional construction and maintenance activities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of professional welding experience, preferably in construction, industrial, or infrastructure environments.

• Proficiency in one or more welding processes, including Stick, MIG, TIG, or Flux-Cored welding.

• Experience with structural steel fabrication, installation, and repair.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical specifications.

• Familiarity with welding inspection requirements and industry quality standards.

• Ability to operate welding and metal fabrication equipment safely.

• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and proper PPE usage.

• Ability to work outdoors in Guam's tropical climate and physically demanding conditions.

• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials and equipment as required.

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work effectively within a team.
