Job Summary:
The Welder will provide the skill and work ethic required to build our world class food processing equipment at the best Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost possible.
Responsibilities:
- Preferred candidate needs heavy GTAW experience in stainless steel
- Accurately and efficiently use calipers, weld fixtures, tape measures, and other welding hand tools
- Utilize handheld tools such as a handheld screw gun, drill gun, and grinders
- Must be able to work from drawings and sketches, read and understand manuals/specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations and set up requirements.
- Willing and able to learn CNC Press Brake and/or other equipment as needed
- Verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm accurate tolerances and machine functions.
- Operators will be required to maintain tolerances of 0.01”-0.03”
- During operations Operator will be required to maintain cleanliness of area
- Communicates with Leadership, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
- May perform other duties as assigned by Leadership.
- Forklift experience preferred but not required.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience welding stainless
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Basic math skills and ability to read blueprints and manuals.
- Driver’s License and a reliable work vehicle.
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with stainless steel and UHMW conveyor components.
- Knowledge of quality control and testing procedures.
Work Environment:
- The Welder/Fabricator job is typically performed in a manufacturing environment with a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere.
- The work environment is clean and organized, with a focus on safety and quality control.
- The job requires standing and walking for long periods, as well as lifting and moving heavy objects.
- The work schedule is typically Monday-Friday, 6am-4:30pm, with mandatory overtime as needed.
