WELDING SUPERVISOR
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and coordinate daily welding and fabrication activities.
- Assign welding jobs to workers and monitor work progress.
- Ensure welding work is carried out according to drawings and specifications.
- Check weld quality and ensure proper welding procedures are followed.
- Inspect completed work and identify defects or rework required.
- Ensure welders use the correct materials, machines, tools and settings.
- Monitor workers’ productivity and attendance.
- Ensure proper use and care of welding machines and equipment.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Ensure workers follow company safety rules and procedures.
- Coordinate with the production and engineering teams on job requirements.
- Report production progress, quality issues and delays to management
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma / Certificate in Welding, Metal Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant welding and metal fabrication experience.
- Good knowledge of MIG, TIG and ARC welding.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of welding procedures, quality requirements and inspection.
- Able to supervise daily production and allocate work to workers.
- Good understanding of workplace safety.
- Able to communicate effectively with production and engineering teams.
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication is preferred.
