Westchester Float Teacher

LearnWell is currently looking for our next creative and passionate teacher to fill a full-time ten month position for the greater Westchester, NY area. The certified teacher will work between 6-8 of our teaching locations, most of them being a behavioral health environment. Most locations have 8-15 students at a time receiving educational services with a maximum class of 15 students in certain locations. This teacher will be supporting students from grades K-12 with their four core subjects.

Essential functions of the job:

• Plan, prepare and deliver daily lesson plans and instructional material for an average of 8-10 students, with a maximum amount of 15; in a small group setting

• Help students one-on-one if extra assistance is needed on their individual school curriculum

• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction

• Communicate necessary information regularly to students, hospital and parents regarding student progress and student needs

• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies

• Updating daily attendance and creating daily session reports for each student
