Western Chef - Orchard (5-Day, $2,800-$4,000)

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Western Chef to join our restaurant team in the Orchard area.
Working under the Head Chef, you will be mainly responsible for the Western hot kitchen section and support daily kitchen operations.

Candidates with at least 1 year of professional kitchen experience are welcome to apply. Training and guidance will be provided as you develop your skills within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily preparation and cooking for the Western hot kitchen section
• Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and quality standards
• Handle daily mise en place and ingredient preparation
• Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation and portioning
• Work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen team members
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
• Assist with stock preparation, storage and inventory
• Follow food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
• Support other kitchen duties when required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of professional kitchen experience
• Experience in Western cuisine or Western hot kitchen is preferred
• Basic cooking and knife skills
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Responsible, reliable and willing to learn
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Able to work weekends and public holidays
• Food hygiene certification is an advantage

Salary

SGD $2,800 – $4,000 per month, depending on experience and ability
