Wet Formulation Scientist (m/f/d)

Job Description:

The job holder is responsible for the formulations & linear programming for dedicated factories. The job holder is involved in many varied development projects, from concept through to implementation in our factory network, and is responsible for medium large projects aimed at improving the design and performance of our existing portfolio, ensuring that opportunities to optimize costs are identified and realized. The job holder is responsible to ensure business continuity and compliance to the recipe framework within their dedicated factories.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Formulation & linear programming for dedicated factories.

  • Responsible for the creation and the maintenance of all formulations across multiple Mars factories, ensuring the delivery of nutrition, quality, performance, food safety, cost inline with agreed recipe framework

  • Responsible for the technical linear programming for a variety of projects (Innovation, Renovation, Supply Cost Savings) according to aligned business frequency

Business Continuity Management

  • Responsible to ensure business continuity and compliance to the recipe frameworks

  • Responsible for supporting their applicable factories when facing issues with non-conformances related to recipe & nutrition & raw material scarcity with joint responsibility with RM owner

  • Responsible for keeping recipe frames updated & relevant, and providing product information inputs for Product Developers

Managing R&D projects

  • involved in various development projects, from concept through to implementation in our factory network,

  • responsible for medium/large projects aiming to improve the design and performance of our existing portfolio,

  • Ensure all opportunities are optimized for costs and sustainability.

  • Responsible to effectively managing project risks and to inform and influence the project team.

  • Responsible to proactively managing Intellectual Property risks and opportunities.

What are we looking for?

  • University degree in a technical discipline with experience in a technical field – ideally in the food technology area.

  • Solid job experience in the areas of food technology or a technically related discipline – ideally in a number of different areas over the period of time.

  • Professional knowledge in food technology and testing.

  • Computer proficiency in MS Office applications and digital systems in general

  • Good command in English (verbally and written).

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, e.g. communication, relations building, networking, team spirit.
