Wheel/Tyre Technician
Summary
Maintains and repairs aircraft wheels/tires, including disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, pressure testing, and documentation for BAE Systems’ Saudi operations, ensuring readiness for flight programs.

Responsibilities
· Disassembly of aircraft wheels and thorough cleaning of all components
· Reassembly of aircraft wheels, including hub assembly, wheel inflation and pressure testing
· Prepares and accurately completes maintenance documentation and reports.
· Maintains equipment specific to job role.
· Maintains a sufficient quantity of serviceable aircraft wheels at immediate notice to support the flying programme and scheduled maintenance aircraft.
· Responsible for reporting and encouraging expedient Error Management Reporting, addressing or highlighting any safety concerns and failings immediately.
· Assist within their area-of-responsibility with regards to audits and act when called upon to take responsibility for addressing / ratifying any audit findings.

o Saudi Council of Engineering membership.
o Leave usage in accordance with company policy.
· Identify and execute opportunities to improve and enhance the delivery of the TSS service and encourage a Continuous Improvement culture.
Job Requirements\:
· Essential\:
· A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA
OR
· Part 66 licensed (current or lapsed), or suitable equivalent technical license acceptable to M&CA
· Relevant type training (Q Course) and specific training if required
· Saudi Council of Engineering (SCE) Registration
· Have at least 5 years post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR 3 years on same aircraft type OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/ TSNTTP)
· Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering
· Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role
· Desirable\:
· Broad Aerospace and Defence company / industry knowledge
· Understand and use Maintenance GoldESP system or similar platform
· Be fully conversant with the interpretation of technical diagrams and Documentation
· Desirable\: Experienced stores person, able to drive a fork lift truck, fully conversant with logistics and warehouse management systems, locations and safe handling methods.
· Use of special to type containers. Awareness of potential hazards caused by incorrect storage such as moisture ingress and cadmium corrosion.
· Required\: Basic IT literacy skills and some knowledge of asset tracking / MRP systems.
