Wildland Firefighter (Assistant Dispatch Center Manager)
These positions are located in a USDA Forest Service Unit. Responsibilities may include retardant mixing, loading into aircraft, and all activities on the ramp, including aircraft movement, and safety. See ADDITIONAL INFORMATION for regional contacts.
Coordinates mobilization and demobilization activities related to wildland fire suppression.
Evaluates, plans, and coordinates wildland fire and other daily operational situations to ensure adequate quantities of resources and machinery are dispatched to incidents.
Implements and maintains mobilization plans, emergency disaster plans, dispatch policies and procedures.
Coordinates air transportation of unit personnel, supplies and equipment.

Secondary Coverage: Prior wildland firefighting experience is required. Willing to live/work in remote locations (volatile/unpredictable).
