The Opportunity
Our Sydney office is seeking a pro-active and experienced Wills & Estate Senior Lawyer who is looking to secure an opportunity to progress their career and gain invaluable experience whilst working alongside Senior Lawyers and Partners within our Private client and Property teams.
You will have carriage of your own files in areas including:
- Wills and complex estate and succession planning
- Deceased estates
- Testator Family Maintenance claims
- EPOA’s & NCAT guardianship and administration matters
- Trusts & Superannuation
- Estate litigation
- Elder abuse
- Equity litigation: Estate disputes and contested Will litigation
- Drafting of legal documents and agreements
- Advising clients and preparing formal legal opinions
- Leading negotiations with counter parts
- Implementing estate plans and drafting legal documents including Wills, Testamentary Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Loan Agreements
- Maintain and develop the internal client referral network.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients in relation to Estate, Will and Property disputes and conduct Court matters as and when required.
- Prepare complex and simple Will drafting and associated estate planning documents.
- Work independently as part of a collegiate team.
- Build & maintain strong client relationships.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- 6 years + PQE in Estate, Wills and Property Litigation is essential.
- High level of expertise in complex and simple estate planning is essential.
- Ability to develop new business will be highly regarded.
