We are looking for a skilled Windchill Data Migration Consultant with hands-on experience in PTC Windchill data migration, PLM systems, and CAD data management. The ideal candidate should have practical experience migrating CAD files, product structures, metadata, BOMs, and related objects into Windchill.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data migration from legacy PLM systems or source repositories to PTC Windchill.
- Extract, transform, load, and validate CAD and product data.
- Migrate CAD files and structures from Creo and/or Autodesk Inventor, including assemblies, components, dependencies, and references.
- Work with Windchill objects such as EPMDocuments, Parts, BOMs, versions, and relationships.
- Use Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM), Windchill loaders, or equivalent migration tools.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and post-migration checks.
- Troubleshoot missing references, duplicate objects, broken CAD relationships, metadata issues, and migration failures.
- Prepare migration reports and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with PLM, CAD, engineering, and business teams to ensure successful migration.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in PTC Windchill data migration.
- Experience with Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM), loaders, or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of Creo and/or Autodesk Inventor CAD data.
- Understanding of CAD assemblies, dependencies, references, and product structures.
- Experience migrating EPMDocuments, Parts, BOMs, versions, and relationships.
- Knowledge of ETL processes, data validation, and reconciliation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- SQL and Windchill data-model knowledge will be an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with legacy PLM-to-Windchill migration projects.
- Exposure to large-volume CAD and product data migration.
- Experience with migration testing and post-load validation.
